The Sumico SCL46 is constructed from two separate speaker modules working in optimal integration: the passive column line array Sumico CL46 mounted vertically via a sturdy metal pole onto the 18-inch active subwoofer module Sumico SA18 with built-in amplifier. The subwoofer base features integrated wheels for mobility, reducing floor space usage while enhancing sound coverage and maintaining flexibility for real-world deployment in auditoriums, lecture halls, banquet rooms, conference venues, and live music stages. High-End Passive Column Sumico CL46 Array Structure

Instead of using two 13.5-inch (342mm) woofers in a conventional full-range cabinet—where uniform sound coverage is limited and sound pressure level and clarity decrease rapidly over distance—the Sumico CL46 column speaker is configured with six 4.5-inch woofers in a line array structure, offering superior performance advantages.

The six 4.5-inch (115mm) woofers feature lightweight rigid composite fiber cones for fast transient response and precise control. Arranged vertically in a sequential array configuration, they create a directional coupling effect that produces consistent sound pressure and delivers a thick, clean, and articulate midrange. This 4.5-inch Woofer system is combined with a 1-inch (25.4mm) dome tweeter utilizing a newly engineered aluminum diaphragm to enhance high-frequency reproduction with extended range, rich detail, smooth response without harshness, and improved sound directivity within a frequency response of 100Hz – 20kHz, handling power up to 250W (RMS).

Sumico SA18 Active Subwoofer Delivering Powerful and Stable Low Frequencies

The Sumico SA18 active subwoofer plays a crucial role in controlling the entire low-frequency energy of the system. The Sumico SA18 has dimensions of 700mm (H) x 500mm (W) x 650mm (D) and is equipped with wheels for convenient mobility. The enclosure is constructed from premium MDF with a textured, moisture-resistant, scratch-resistant finish, and the protective grille is made of rust-resistant powder-coated alloy for enhanced long-term durability. This subwoofer features an 18-inch (457mm) multi-layer composite fiber cone woofer, a large high-temperature-resistant voice coil, and a powerful large ferrite magnet. The bass reflex enclosure design of the Sumico SA18 is acoustically optimized in terms of internal volume and port tuning, allowing the system to achieve high sensitivity in the low-frequency range while maintaining excellent control. This enhances bass reproduction efficiency without requiring excessive amplifier power consumption.

The Sumico SA18 subwoofer integrates a Class-D amplifier rated at 1300W (RMS), divided into two independent channels with DSP sound optimization: one 1000W (RMS) channel powering the subwoofer module and one 300W (RMS) channel powering the column line array module.

With high output power and a wide frequency response range from 25Hz – 250Hz, the Sumico SA18 ensures a solid, tight, and deep bass foundation for the entire system.
